How to grill Tri-Tip

If you are not familiar with this cut, it's a small triangular piece from the sirloin. A tri-tip weighs about 2lb and it is absolutely perfect for a family grilling!!

I love the tri-tip because it has a good amount of marbling and yet it is quite lean and devoid of any fat cap which means that can be tough if not grill well but... IF GRILL IT RIGHT...

...OH BOY... Juicy and tender like no other.

Prep Time; 15 minutes
Cook Time: 60 minutes
Total Time: 75 minutes

Ingredients

  • One 2lb piece of Tri-Tip
  • Papa Vince Sea Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Garlic Salt to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste

How to pick your Tri-Tip?

Pick a smaller piece with a thin top layer of fat. The more marbled, the better. Avoid larger pieces - they tend to be tougher.
