When it comes to coffee, we're overloaded with so many choices at a coffee shop or even when picking up a package in a local grocery store.
This Fall we have been introducing Papa Vince whole bean coffee and we asked cousin Vito for some hints on how to make the perfect cup of coffee. This is what he shared with us.
Choose a high quality bean that is slow roasted in the traditional way. This means your coffee will have optimal flavor and anti-oxidants and will be lower in acidity which makes it easier to digest.
Invest in a Grinder. Whole bean coffee is the way to go since the beans can lose up to 60% of their aroma within an hour of grinding. Cousin Vito says that a manual grinder is best because electric grinders can heat up the beans and alter the taste.
Find a coffee like Papa Vince that you can enjoy without sugar or sweetener. Our original blend coffee leaves a smooth, semi sweet finish with no bitter after taste. Many people add sugar to their coffee because it's too bitter.
Italians start the day with a cup of coffee. Cousin Vito says that the aroma of the coffee brewing in the kitchen should say good morning to the whole family! They drink 1 or 2 more cups throughout the day for a little boost of mental clarity.
